Local Mobile, Text and Email Marketing

Email/Text Marketing
Two stories here have my attention. The 1st is that the Living Social Deal Site is having a difficult time financially and in reading the article Groupon shares are trading much lower than expected. You hear the horror stories about how some companies have actually been hurt financially by these deal sites.
I think they can be served much better on a local level and proof of that is here in this article (somewhat). Living Social doesn’t look like it has solid legs to stand on which could mean it’s only a matter of time allowing Local Internet Marketers an opportunity to pick up the slack - if we can perfect the system we can offer those deals directly to the business owner. Retail Mobile Phone Market
The other is the leap Wireless article because I almost bought the stock. Within the article they discuss the merger of Metro PCS and T-Mobile. I was trying to get a Local Metro PCS Dealer to do business with me regarding Local Directories. I don’t know if he knew about the merger or he just didn’t know what he didn’t know, but I’m curious to know how the T-Mobile Deal affects Metro’s ability to advertise or if it is run as a separate business unit.
Regardless I’m going the 1 to 50 on this as well and repackaging the Metro Proposal to offer to other smaller mobile phone provider. Those would generally be the mom and pop stores trying to compete with the larger T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint Stores. Click Here.
